Unitech leads gainers in ‘A’ group
Titan Industries, Jubilant FoodWorks, Lupin and Divi’s Laboratories are among the other gainers. Real estate developer Unitech rose 4.48% to Rs. 23.30 after the Supreme Court today, 23 November 2011, granted bail to five corporate executives, including Unitech’s managing director, Sanjay Chandra, facing prosecution for their alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum case.
2G case: Corporate honchos get bail, Kani’s plea comes up today
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted bail to five 2G scam case accused-Unitech’s Sanjay Chandra, Swan Telecom’s Vinod Goenka and Reliance ADAG executives Gautam Doshi, Surendra Pipara and Hari Nair-raising hopes for the release of other accused and resurrecting the principle that bail should be the rule and jail an exception.
